Dr. Norran Hussein Said is a leading expert in breast radiology and a passionate advocate for women’s health. She currently serves as the Division Chief of Breast Radiology at Al Zahra Hospital Dubai, where she has amassed over two decades of experience in diagnostic imaging and breast intervention.
A Fellow of the Royal College of Radiology (UK), Dr. Norran has received international recognition for her contributions to the field of breast radiology. She recieved the Derek Harwood Nash Fellowship by the Radiological Society of North America, for training at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard University. Dr. Norran’s academic credentials also include an MD and MS in Radiology from Cairo University.
Dr. Norran specialises in advanced breast imaging and minimally invasive procedures, offering services such as 3D mammography, contrast-enhanced mammography, breast MRI, breast ultrasound, core and vacuum-assisted biopsies, stereotactic biopsies, and wire localization.
In addition to her clinical expertise, Dr. Norran has a strong background in research and public education. She has contributed to numerous high-profile publications and conferences, including the RSNA, ASCO, and the European Society of Radiology. She also co-authored a chapter in the Springer-published book, Lobar Approach to Breast Ultrasound.
Dr. Norran is a key voice in regional awareness efforts, having co-founded the Egyptian Society of Women’s Health and served as the Chief Breast Radiologist for the Egyptian National Breast Screening Program. She has led more than 25 breast imaging courses and spoken at over 35 public awareness events. Furthermore, she created a widely followed social media platform dedicated to women’s health (@Dr.NorranHussein).
